About Us
We are a small firm with deep roots. It all started with our great-grandfather, George D. Forsyth, who was the Monroe County District Attorney
in the 1890's. Scott and George Forsyth are following in the foot steps of their lawyer ancestors: great-grandfather, George, their grandfather,
Walter S. Forsyth, Esq., and their recently retired father, Donald A. Forsyth, Esq. For over 115 years, the Forsyths have been protecting the
legal interests of families in Monroe, Wayne, Ontario, and Livingston Counties.
Scott A. Forsyth, Esq. is a graduate of Phillips Academy, Princeton University and Boston University School of Law. He is licensed in New York,
Florida, and Massachusetts and has been in practice for over 28 years. He focuses his practice on estate planning, the administration of
estates, and income tax planning for individuals. He is past chairman of the Monroe County Bar Association Trusts & Estates Section. He is a
member of the Monroe County, New York, and Florida Bar Associations. He is counsel to the Genesee Valley Chapter of the New York Civil
Liberties Union.
George K. Forsyth, Esq. is a graduate of Phillips Academy, University of Rochester, and Albany Law School. He is licensed in New York and has been in
practice for over 26 years. He concentrates his time in divorces, child and spousal support, custody, and accident cases. He is a member of the
Family Law Section of the Monroe County and New York Bar Associations.
George believes that “there is a time to be a warrior and a time to be a healer.” Your case could fall into either category or somewhere in
between. The Forsyths will work hard to meet your needs without going to court. But, if they need to litigate, they are bright, aggressive and
effective at winning cases.
